Experimental arrangements of light through transparent materials & 3D (prismatic) environments with multiple viewing possibilities are created. These may be shown as they stand or photographed to become 2 dimensional imagery. Within these environments ideas concerning collective consciousness, and the debated existence of individuality within the human rush, are willed out. Do we have 3 dimensions when as individuals, or when part of a collective?
The results vary, film, photographs and sculptural pieces have materialised, though usually they arrive in a sequence, most often a triptych forms. A recurring theme is 'gifts in transparent wrappers'.
While the photographic imagery offers a controlled perspective of spatial installations which keep the senses at bay, with the 3D work the viewer is dragged into a visual vortex within a highly reflective layered environment.
A sculptural triptych titled 'Slapstick - curly, larry & mo' is a recently completed piece. This was achieved as a commission for the Community Network for Manchester, details and images are in 'My Collection' with further project and exhibition details through the link below.
Moore was involved with the AA2A initiative while based at Manchester Metropolitan University. The scheme aims to allow working artist's access to art facilities and, in doing so, places the artist and their practice amongst students. (You can view my page by clicking the link below)
The scheme comes complete with an interactive artists networking site where she wrote a blog dealing mostly concerning technical issues with the work whilst on the project.
